By accepting a quote, booking work or asking draigIT to go ahead, you are agreeing to these terms unless something different has been agreed in writing.
1. Scope of work
A quote only covers the work, parts and materials listed in it.
If extra work, extra time or extra parts are needed, this will be discussed before going ahead where reasonably possible.
2. Access and working conditions
You must provide safe access, a reasonable workspace and suitable power where needed.
Work may be paused or stopped if access is not available or conditions are unsafe.
If a device reaches a login screen, you may need to unlock it or provide access details unless the fault prevents normal setup.
3. Diagnostics
Diagnostics and troubleshooting are chargeable unless clearly stated otherwise.
If a fault cannot be reproduced, time spent testing is still chargeable.
If diagnosis shows more work or parts are needed, this will be explained before extra cost is added where reasonably possible.
4. Data, backup and software
You are responsible for backing up important data before work starts.
Repairs, updates, malware removal and failing hardware can carry a risk of data loss.
Only the files, settings and accounts needed for the agreed work will be accessed.
If data is copied for transfer or backup as part of the job, it will normally be deleted after completion unless agreed otherwise.
You are responsible for valid software licences, subscriptions and account access unless these are being supplied as part of the job.
Data recovery is not guaranteed unless a specific recovery service has been agreed.
5. Existing faults and parts
Hidden faults, previous poor workmanship, corrosion, liquid damage, failing components and unstable third-party equipment can affect cost, timing and outcome.
If a device already has damage or severe wear, repair work may carry extra risk or may turn out not to be economical.
Parts may be original or compatible equivalents depending on availability, budget and preference.
Any separate manufacturer or supplier warranty on parts remains subject to that provider's own terms.
6. Installs and performance
Work will be carried out neatly and the immediate area left tidy.
Wi-Fi and networking performance depends on building layout, materials, interference, broadband service and third-party equipment, so specific speeds or full coverage cannot be guaranteed in every property.
Remote support is best-efforts and depends on the device, the connection and the customer being able to follow steps where needed.
7. Aftercare
7-day snagging support: reasonable remote help for issues directly related to the completed work and reported within 7 days.
30-day workmanship promise: faults caused by draigIT workmanship within 30 days will be put right without extra labour charge.
This does not cover new issues, unrelated faults, misuse, accidental damage, tampering, later modifications by others, power issues, liquid ingress or third-party outages.
8. Payment and cancellation
Payment is due on completion unless something different has been agreed in writing.
Late payment may mean further work or support is paused until payment is made.
If you need to cancel or rearrange, please give as much notice as possible.
Reasonable charges may still apply for time already spent, attended appointments, completed diagnostics or parts and materials ordered for your job.
Where consumer cancellation rights apply, they will be respected.
9. Liability and consumer rights
Services are provided using reasonable care and skill.
Nothing in these terms removes any rights you have under consumer law.
Nothing excludes liability for death or personal injury caused by negligence, fraud or anything else that cannot legally be excluded.
Where the law allows, liability for direct loss will be limited to the amount paid for the relevant job.
draigIT is not liable for indirect or consequential loss or for loss caused by pre-existing faults, hidden defects, third-party services, manufacturer failures or missing backups.
